Executive Chef & Co-owner

Chef Gyanendra, fondly known as Chef G, is a highly experienced culinary professional with 17+ years in the food industry with extensive culinary knowledge. He loves keeping up and challenging himself with new food trends in the culinary industry. He is an avid supporter of locally sourced produce and you will always find him strolling up-and-down the aisles of farmer markets. Chef G grew up with his family in Nepal and is now based in Calgary, AB, Canada. Chef G's wanderlust and love for food has taken him all over the world where he pursued his Culinary Diploma in Austria and Europe. He has skillfully demonstrated his expertise in food preparation, menu planning, and execution with a focus in maintaining food quality in Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Chef G is a born leader as he is known for keeping his team engaged and motivated. He has lead and inspired culinary professionals in multinational hotel chains such as, the Hyatt Regency, Hilton Hotels, Fairmont Hotels, Marriott Hotels, and Millennium Hotels. During his spare time, you will find him playing with his two kids, helping his wife in her patio garden or exploring the local markets, vineyards, wineries and the Rockies!

Pooja Ale Magar

“Calgary White Hat- Best server” nominated (Tourism Calgary) Pooja Ale Magar has over 10 years experience in food and beverage service from Nepal, Kathmandu; UK, London; Canada, Lake Louise-Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise; Whistler- Fairmont Chateau Whistler; and Calgary, Fairmont Palliser/Hotel Arts. In 2007, Pooja graduated in Hotel Management. She has earned a diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Oxford College of London in 2009. As well as a Diploma in Payroll Administration program from CDI Colleges Calgary in 2017. She defines great guest service as actively seeking out opportunities to give customers a better experience than they expect or perhaps had the last time. Calgary Momo house is one of the best establishments for people to enjoy momo of the highest quality. Every dish is just as good if not better than the previous with so many options to choose from. One of the best places to enjoy Nepalese cuisine.

I experienced a delicious Chef’s main course and caring staff. Me and my friend came along and visited the restaurant for dinner after a long drive from Saskatoon. We were delighted by the authentic taste of Nepalese cuisine. The spices and flavors were extremely impressive and exactly reminded us experience and food taste from back home Nepal. When we arrived at 8:00 p.m., we got the table right away. We hadn't made a reservation, but the restaurant was almost full. We heard the famous Jhol Momo and Tandoori Chicken Momo but, do want to try some other delicious and yummy foods in coming days Overall, I enjoyed our experience. I’d love to visit again. I'd highly recommend it as a nice place in town to go with friends, family, or a partner.

First day in Calgary and first dinner at Calgary Momo House. The service was exceptional. Even though the restaurant was busy we were acknowledged, greeted and seated promptly. Jhol Momo and Tandoori momos were definitely the star of the night. What a nice welcome to Calgary with tons of flavours. Much recommended. Thank you for the delicious food and great service @Calgary Momo House????
